About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Network & System Administrator to manage and secure our factory IT infrastructure. This role combines Network Administration, Windows Server Management, and Cybersecurity Operations in a production-critical manufacturing environment.
If you have strong experience in managing enterprise networks and Windows server environments, and want real ownership, this role is for you.
Your key responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure
You will manage and maintain the factory's network infrastructure, including firewalls, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and segmented networks across platforms such as Unifi or Fortigate. You will ensure network performance, stability, and security across industrial environments spanning production, MES, and IoT, while monitoring and responding to incidents.
Systems Administration
Administration of Windows Server environments forms a core part of the role, including Active Director,, as well as oversight of VMware virtualisation across ESXi and vCenter. This includes managing application servers, user access and licensing, and maintaining backup and disaster recovery processes to support high availability and system resilience.
Security & Compliance
You will monitor and respond to Defender and firewall alerts, coordinate penetration testing, and lead system hardening efforts. The role also involves supporting ISO 27001 and TISAX compliance activities and contributing to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in roles such as Network Administrator, System Administrator, Server Management, Infrastructure Engineer, project management/implementation for new IT projects
- Strong experience with:
Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP)
Enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
VMware virtualization
Backup & recovery solutions
- Experience handling IT incidents in production environments
- Professional English; Dutch is a plus
Nice to Have
- ERP Knowledge (BAAN / INFOR / SAP S4 HANA)
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with segmented networks and OT environments
- Security certifications (Security+, CISSP foundations)
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks (ISO 27001 / TISAX)
